The Inn at Taughannock Falls will once again light up the skies over Cayuga Lake with its annual Independence Day fireworks display for the Trumansburg and Ithaca community.
The celebration is set for Friday, July 4, with fireworks launching shortly after 9:30 p.m. from Taughannock Falls State Park. Parking will be available to the public for $5.
The Inn will also host its on-site Independence Day BBQ Party beginning at 5 p.m., with limited tickets available for purchase on EventBrite.com. The annual event has become a regional tradition, sponsored and donated by the Inn for the past decade.
“Among the causes that we support and sponsor within the community, the ownership team has always believed the public fireworks show to be a vitally important cause,” said Stephenie Monroe, Director of Sales and Marketing. “This holiday display always allows folks to gather in a unified and jovial way.”
Built in 1873 as a private home by the Jones Family, the historic property became a public inn and restaurant before its 2016 purchase by an Ithaca College alumnus and partners. It has since undergone significant restoration to preserve its legacy for future generations.
