Rochester Gas and Electric has begun a series of scheduled power outages in Sodus this week as crews work to upgrade equipment and reduce future service disruptions.
The outages, which started June 25, affect areas along Maple Avenue, Lake Road, and Middle Road. According to RG&E, each segment will experience outages lasting approximately four to five hours, with weather potentially shifting the dates.
The work is part of circuit upgrades related to substation 210 and will take place in multiple phases through June 27. Motorists are urged to drive cautiously as crews work along local roads. While no road closures are planned, lane restrictions and traffic flagging may occur.
RG&E says the upgrades aim to improve service reliability for customers in the Sodus area.
