The Village of Horseheads celebrated its boys’ baseball team for winning the New York State championship. The Blue Raiders finished the season 18-1 and edged Fox Lane High School 6-5 in the title game held in Binghamton.
Mayor Kevin Adams issued a proclamation on Tuesday and presented Village pins to the players, applauding their dedication and historic achievement. The ceremony also marked the retirement of longtime Coach Jeff Limoncelli, who led Horseheads to its previous title in 1999 and earned over 400 wins in his career.
The event highlighted the team’s hard work and the community’s pride in their accomplishment.
