Dollar General has opened the doors of its newly relocated store in Weedsport, now operating at 8881 S Seneca Street. The company will celebrate the move with a grand opening event on Saturday, June 28, starting at 8 a.m.
The first 50 adult customers will receive complimentary $10 gift cards, and the first 100 shoppers will be given free Dollar General tote bags.
“We are excited to reopen our relocated store in Weedsport and celebrate with the local community,” said Matthew Simonsen, Dollar General’s senior vice president of real estate and store development. “As part of our mission of Serving Others, we look forward to continue being a strong business partner and good neighbor at our new, convenient location.”
The new location will continue to offer the same affordable, everyday household essentials that customers expect from Dollar General.
The company also highlighted its ongoing commitment to literacy and education. Local schools, nonprofits, and libraries within 15 miles of the store are eligible to apply for grants through the Dollar General Literacy Foundation, which has awarded over $271 million since 1993.
Normal operating hours are available through the Dollar General app.
