Dutch animal feed producer Denkavit has secured a new tax deal to support a $3.1 million warehouse expansion in Aurelius, according to The Citizen.
The Cayuga County IDA approved a five-year extension to Denkavit’s existing PILOT agreement, which could save the company nearly $292,000 in taxes. While the expansion won’t add many jobs immediately, officials say it will help retain current positions by cutting costly off-site storage.
Construction could begin in September, pending land acquisition and blueprint approvals. Officials see the project as part of a broader resurgence in local manufacturing.
