A King Ferry dairy farm is gaining statewide attention for its commitment to conservation, according to The Citizen.
Fessenden Dairy has been named one of four finalists for the prestigious Leopold Conservation Award, given annually to farmers and forest owners who excel in environmental stewardship. The New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets highlighted the farm’s focus on soil, water, and habitat care, as well as its strong community ties.
The winner will be announced later this summer.
