Addison man arrested after damaging home, injuring trooper

  • Staff Report

An Addison man is facing felony charges after allegedly damaging property and injuring a trooper during a chaotic arrest, according to state police. They say 36-year-old Timothy Payne fled the scene of a domestic incident before being located at a traffic stop.

Troopers say Payne gave a false name and resisted arrest, leading to a physical struggle that left one officer injured. He was eventually taken into custody and charged with multiple offenses, including assault, criminal mischief, and resisting arrest.

Payne is currently being held at Steuben County Jail as the investigation continues.
