The Finger Lakes Sweet Treat Trail is back for its twelfth season, offering locals and visitors a self-guided journey through Cayuga County’s finest confections and farm-fresh flavors.
Running from May through November, the 2025 trail features 22 stops, including dairies, orchards, bakeries, cafes, and farm shops. This year’s theme is sustainable agriculture, with a focus on connecting guests to the local farms and producers behind every sweet bite.
“Visit our farms and see where the products and ingredients come from for our other partners along the trail,” encourages the Cayuga County Office of Tourism. Guests are invited to meet the makers, photograph the animals, and explore the land that makes the region’s flavors possible.
A highlight of the season will be the Sweet Treat Trail Market Takeover on June 28 in downtown Auburn. Hosted in the courtyard of the NYS Equal Rights Heritage Center, the one-day event will coincide with Auburn’s weekly Saturday Market. Visitors can expect live music, kids’ activities, and a wide range of treats from participating trail vendors—all in a lively, family-friendly setting.
Admission to the event is free. Trail brochures and interactive guides are available at the Equal Rights Heritage Center and online at TourCayuga.com.
