A Rochester man was taken into custody Friday afternoon at SeaBreeze Amusement Park in connection with a series of retail theft cases across the region.
According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, 40-year-old Marvin T. Gilbert was arrested at approximately 2:37 p.m. on June 6 in the parking lot of the park, located at 4600 Culver Road in Monroe County. Deputies served three arrest warrants issued by Victor Town Court—two for petit larceny and one for grand larceny in the fourth degree, a class E felony.
The charges stem from thefts reported at TJ Maxx, Dick’s House of Sports, and DSW stores in the Town of Victor. Authorities also noted that Gilbert has seven additional active warrants from surrounding agencies, all tied to retail theft.
He was transported to the Ontario County Jail to await arraignment.
