Seneca County leaders will meet Tuesday to discuss a federal funding issue that could impact local healthcare programs.
The county’s Board of Supervisors has scheduled a special Intergovernmental Affairs Committee meeting for June 10 at 4:30 p.m. The central topic: urging New York’s congressional delegation to oppose disproportionate federal cuts to Medicaid.
According to the meeting agenda, the discussion will focus on collecting feedback and forming a response to proposed reductions that could affect funding formulas and allocations for New York State. Committee members, including Chair Borst and Vice-Chair Enslow, are expected to weigh potential impacts on county services.
The meeting will also include time for any new or unfinished business.
