A Geneva man was arrested last week after allegedly driving through a police checkpoint without a seatbelt and while intoxicated.
According to the Waterloo Police Department, Gary D. Guild, 42, was stopped on May 28 around 5:17 p.m. after officers observed him pass through a checkpoint without wearing a seatbelt. Officers also noted a large crack in his vehicle’s windshield.
Further investigation revealed that Guild was driving under the influence. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and cited for no seatbelt and an unsafe windshield.
Guild was transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility for arraignment.
