A Seneca Falls man has been arrested following an investigation into alleged official misconduct and drug activity.
Robert D. Shields, 59, was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, conspiracy in the fourth degree, and official misconduct, according to Seneca County Sheriff Timothy Thompson.
The charges stem from an ongoing investigation into Shields’ conduct while serving as a contracted peer advocate. Investigators allege that Shields conspired with another individual to purchase and sell crack cocaine. When taken into custody on June 5 at approximately 3:06 p.m., Shields was allegedly found in possession of crack cocaine.
He was issued appearance tickets for the Town of Seneca Falls Court and the Town of Waterloo Court.
