Jack’s Kitchen to reopen in new Shortsville spot

After a car crash forced Jack’s Kitchen to close in April, the popular Manchester diner is set to reopen in a new Shortsville location, according to the restaurant’s Facebook page. Owners Jack and Angie Northrup are eyeing a July 1 grand reopening at the former site of Molly Moocher’s on West Main Street.

The April 14 incident, caused by an allegedly intoxicated driver, left the original building damaged and unrepairable. With no progress on reconstruction, the Northrups made the tough call to relocate to keep staff employed and loyal customers fed.

Most of the equipment has already been moved, with inspections expected mid-June. The owners say they’re working quickly to bring back the diner’s signature comfort food and community presence.
