A traffic stop on State Route 104 led to the arrest of a Sodus woman early Monday afternoon, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies arrested Kylene Egleston, 33, of Kelly Road, following an investigation that began with a routine stop but escalated into a drug-impaired driving case.
Egleston was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs (DWAI), speed in zone, operating an uninspected motor vehicle, and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree. Deputies conducted a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) evaluation, which indicated she was impaired due to substance use.
Egleston was taken to the Wayne County Jail for processing and later released on appearance tickets. She is scheduled to appear in Huron Town Court at a future date.
