Canandaigua announces fireworks show, celebrates public-private partnership

The Town and City of Canandaigua are joining forces once again to host the community’s annual Independence Day fireworks display, scheduled for Saturday, July 5, at 9:45 p.m. at Kershaw Park, 155 Lakeshore Drive.

Officials say the long-running tradition is a testament to local collaboration and pride. The City of Canandaigua is providing the scenic lakefront venue and essential public safety support, including traffic control and emergency services, while the Town and several local businesses are covering most event costs.

“This celebration is a shining example of what we can achieve when public and private sectors work together,” Town officials said in a statement.

Support for the show comes from the Town of Canandaigua and the Lakeshore Hospitality District, which includes Nolan’s on Canandaigua Lake, Hotel Canandaigua, The Lake House on Canandaigua, JP’s Wine and Beer Tap Room, COHO Pizza and Wine Bar, and New York Kitchen.

The fireworks event invites residents and visitors alike to gather along the shoreline for a shared celebration of community and country.
