Tourist rail rides are making a comeback in the Finger Lakes this summer with the launch of the FLX Rail Experience, according to the Finger Lakes Times. The new heritage attraction will run excursions every weekend from July 4 through August, departing from Geneva, Canandaigua, and Seneca Falls.
The lineup includes one- to 2½-hour trips on restored 1940s passenger cars, featuring family rides, brunch trains, and adults-only wine tastings. Tickets start at $30 and go on sale June 6 at flxrailexperience.com.
Backed by Finger Lakes Railway and a coalition of local wineries and nonprofits, the service aims to boost regional tourism while preserving the charm of vintage rail travel.
