Lyons man charged with DWI after crash in Manchester

A Lyons man is facing multiple charges after crashing his vehicle off Outlet Road in the Town of Manchester on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the scene around 2:20 p.m. for a report of a single-vehicle accident near 3839 Outlet Road. The driver, identified as 34-year-old Shane M. Bohrer of Shuler Street, had veered off the south side of the road, down an embankment, and struck several trees.

Deputies determined that Bohrer was operating the vehicle while impaired by drugs. He was cited for driving while intoxicated, driving while ability impaired by drugs, and failure to keep right.

Bohrer was evaluated by Finger Lakes Ambulance and did not appear to suffer any injuries from the crash. He is scheduled to appear in Manchester Town Court to answer the charges.
