  • Staff Report

Thompson Health is offering local residents a pathway into healthcare with upcoming information sessions for those interested in becoming certified nursing assistants.

The one-hour sessions will be held on Friday, June 6, at 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center, located at 350 Parrish Street in Canandaigua. Attendees must register in advance by emailing [email protected].

UR Medicine Thompson Health covers the full cost of its five-week CNA training course and pays participants while they train. Part-time benefits begin immediately, and graduates are guaranteed a CNA position at the center. Newly hired CNAs are expected to stay employed for at least one year and may qualify for tuition reimbursement and advancement opportunities.
