Police in Bath arrested a man Friday after a woman reported being assaulted during a domestic dispute at a local inn.
Officers identified the suspect as Kurt Jones, 20, of the Village of Bath. According to the Village of Bath Police Department, the victim arrived at the station around 4:30 p.m. on May 23 with visible marks on her neck, a cut lip, and swelling in her face. She told police she had been attacked by her boyfriend at the Finger Lakes Inn and Suites on West Morris Street.
After speaking with the victim, officers located and arrested Jones. He was charged with third-degree assault, second-degree unlawful imprisonment, and criminal obstruction of breathing. All charges are class A misdemeanors.
Jones was processed and transported to Steuben County Jail for CAP court. Authorities said he was released following arraignment.
