A West Bloomfield man is facing felony charges after allegedly breaking into two garages and stealing gas cans, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies arrested 55-year-old Douglas E. Ferriter on May 22 for Burglary in the 3rd Degree and Petit Larceny following an investigation into incidents that occurred five days earlier.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Ferriter entered two separate garages on Olmstead Road on May 17 and removed gas cans without permission. After identifying Ferriter as a suspect, deputies took him into custody.
Ferriter was arraigned at centralized arraignment and released on pretrial conditions. He is scheduled to appear in West Bloomfield Town Court at a later date.
The case was investigated by Deputy Peck.
