Reliant Credit Union promotes leaders amid tech transition

Reliant Credit Union announced key organizational changes this week, highlighting internal promotions and a planned leadership transition set for early next year.

President and CEO Pamela Heald praised the moves as part of the credit union’s strategy to strengthen its team and better serve members. “We’re proud to recognize the dedication and leadership within our team through these recent promotions,” Heald said. “These changes recognize the strength and talent of our team while building a strong future together.”

Chief Technology Officer Mark Dennis will retire in January after 25 years with the organization. Trevor Lerkins, currently Vice President of Information Technology, will succeed him. Lerkins joined Reliant in 2017 and has held previous roles as Information Systems Manager and VP of IT.

Chris Cusack, Lead Systems Administrator since 2018, has been promoted to Application Services Manager. He will now lead application development with a focus on automation and data management.

Barbara Adams, with more than 16 years at Reliant, moves into the position of Manager of HR and Employee Experience. She will oversee leadership development, compensation, benefits, and employee engagement.

Kate DeNeef, who joined in 2021 as a recruiter, is now Manager of Recruitment and Training. She will continue her hiring work while also leading the training team.

Reliant Credit Union serves over 47,000 members across Monroe, Ontario, and Wayne counties. With $692 million in assets, it operates branches in 10 communities and offers full-service financial support including mortgages and financial education.
