Waterloo’s mayor says 2025-26 will be a transformative year for the village, driven by an influx of public funding and infrastructure work, according to Finger Lakes Times.
Mayor Walt Bennett told the Village Board that soon-to-be-announced Downtown Revitalization Initiative awards, along with $28 million for infrastructure upgrades, will reshape the downtown area. Projects include nearly finished water improvements and new zero-emission vehicle charging stations.
Bennett encouraged residents to engage with the changes through the Waterloo Community Center, which he called the anchor for community involvement during this pivotal time.
