Three new correction officers from the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office graduated this week from an intensive training program hosted by the Finger Lakes Law Enforcement Academy.
Correction Officers Tyrell Bluto, Richard Chilson, and Noah Rhinehart completed the 12-week Basic Course for Correction Officers on Monday, May 19. The training included instruction in defensive tactics, officer wellness, firearms, and a range of jail-related responsibilities.
“It was an honor to pin the badges of these fine Officers and I wish for their continued safety and success,” said Sheriff Thompson. “We are very proud of them and know that they will continue to do great things in this organization.”
The graduation marks a milestone for the three officers as they begin their careers in corrections and public service in Seneca County.
