New York SNAP benefits: June 2025 payment schedule confirmed

Millions of New Yorkers who receive food assistance through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) can now confirm when their June 2025 benefits will arrive. The state has finalized the payment schedule, and funds will be distributed over a nine-day period.

The SNAP program plays a critical role in helping low-income households afford groceries. As in previous months, June’s payments will follow a staggered release schedule.

When will SNAP benefits be issued in June?

According to the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA), SNAP benefits for June 2025 will be issued between June 1 and June 9. Your specific deposit date depends on the last digit of your case number.

Here’s the full schedule:

  • Case numbers ending in 0: June 1
  • Case numbers ending in 1: June 2
  • Case numbers ending in 2: June 3
  • Case numbers ending in 3: June 4
  • Case numbers ending in 4: June 5
  • Case numbers ending in 5: June 6
  • Case numbers ending in 6: June 7
  • Case numbers ending in 7: June 8
  • Case numbers ending in 8 or 9: June 9

All payments appear on recipients’ EBT cards by 11:59 p.m. on the assigned day.

Who qualifies for SNAP in New York?

To qualify for SNAP, New York residents must meet income guidelines based on household size and expenses. Additionally, eligibility depends on immigration status, employment, and whether someone is elderly or disabled.

You may qualify if you meet the following requirements:

  • U.S. citizenship or legal immigration status
  • Income at or below 130% of the federal poverty level
  • Limited assets (exceptions apply for seniors or people with disabilities)

If you’re unsure about your eligibility, you can apply or check online at MyBenefits.ny.gov.

How much can households receive?

SNAP benefit amounts vary depending on household size, income, and allowable deductions. For 2025, the maximum monthly allotments for the contiguous U.S. are:

  • 1 person: $291
  • 2 people: $535
  • 3 people: $766
  • 4 people: $973
  • 5 people: $1,155
  • 6 people: $1,386
  • 7 people: $1,532
  • 8 people: $1,751

For each additional person, households receive an extra $219.

However, not all households will receive the maximum amount. The actual benefit depends on income, expenses, and other factors. To track your benefit status or balance, use the ConnectEBT app or call the number listed on your EBT card.

What should recipients do next?

It’s important for SNAP recipients to confirm that their contact information is current with OTDA. Additionally, they should monitor their EBT accounts to verify benefit deposits.

The June 2025 payments will provide essential support as summer begins. For those needing more help, local food banks and nutrition programs offer additional assistance.
