Mason Hawker, a lifelong Seneca Falls resident and public safety advocate, is sharing more about his campaign for Seneca Falls Town Board ahead of next month’s primary.
In an announcement on May 19, Hawker vowed to prioritize transparency, accountability, and community-driven governance. “I’m running for Town Board because I believe in the power of community and the importance of transparent leadership,” Hawker said. “Seneca Falls is a town with a rich history and incredible potential. I want to ensure that our local government works for everyone—openly, responsibly, and with a focus on results.”
Hawker’s campaign is built on a five-point platform that emphasizes open communication with residents, sustainable development, increased community input, investment in public infrastructure, and expanding programs for youth and families.
With more than a decade of public service, Hawker has worked in both municipal operations and public safety. He is currently serving his seventh season as head varsity football coach at Mynderse Academy and has led fundraising efforts for organizations including the Child Advocacy Center of the Finger Lakes and Beverly Animal Shelter.
“I believe the people of Seneca Falls deserve a voice at the table,” said Hawker. “I’m ready to work hard, listen closely, and fight for policies that reflect our community’s values.”

He has pledged to hold regular town hall meetings and focus on civic engagement as a way to “restore trust in local leadership.”
Hawker’s resume includes more than eight years working for the Village and Town of Seneca Falls, as well as seven years with the Seneca Falls Volunteer Fire Department. He currently works for New York State Gas and Electric as a gas measurement technician and is a licensed New York State Water Treatment Plant Operator.
He holds both an AAS and a BT degree in Wildlife Biology and Conservation. His mother, Sue Cosentino, is a retired sergeant from the Seneca Falls Police Department who was recognized during the 2009 dedication of the Ludovico Sculpture Trail. His father, Peter Hawker, served 17 years with the Seneca Falls Fire Department.
Mason encouraged constituents to share their concerns directly via email at [email protected]. The Republican primary is scheduled for Tuesday, June 24.
