A domestic dispute turned destructive Saturday afternoon when a man threw rocks at a woman’s car as she drove away, according to Seneca Falls police.

The suspect, Tyler J. Dyson, 30, of Seneca Falls, was arrested at 3:17 p.m. following the incident at a local residence.

Police said Dyson picked up a handful of rocks and hurled them at the victim’s vehicle during the confrontation. Officers observed several dents and scratches on the car caused by the rocks.

Dyson was charged with criminal mischief in the fourth degree, a class A misdemeanor. He was processed at the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department and taken to the Seneca County Correctional Facility for arraignment.

Authorities also said an order of protection was requested on behalf of the victim.
