Student art shines at Corning Museum of Glass

More than 2,000 students from across the Corning area are showcasing their creativity at the Corning Museum of Glass as part of its 55th Annual Student Art Show, according to WENY News. The exhibit includes paintings, clay sculptures, and glass mosaics by students of all grade levels.

Thursday’s awards ceremony recognized standout pieces and awarded scholarships to two graduating seniors, including Maren Benjamin, who hopes to become an art teacher. Educators emphasized the lasting impact of art on student growth and confidence.

The show runs daily through Sunday, May 18, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.
