Auburn Community Hospital has received a $2 million grant from the Mother Cabrini Foundation to strengthen its nursing workforce.

The funding is part of a larger $51 million initiative supporting hospitals statewide. ACH plans to use the money to enhance recruitment, training, and retention of nurses, aiming for a designation in nursing excellence and improved care for its rural patient base.

Hospital CEO Scott Berluchhi said the grant will help build a supportive environment for nurses and improve patient care. As the region’s only full-service provider, ACH called the funding a major investment in its mission to serve all residents, regardless of ability to pay.
