Deputies alleged that Hotaling operated the vehicle while intoxicated, drove off the road, and then physically resisted arrest during the incident. He was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a blood alcohol content greater than .18%, Failure to Keep Right, and Resisting Arrest.

Hotaling was released on an appearance ticket and traffic summons and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Addison Court at a later date.
