A large tree crashed down onto power lines in Sodus late this morning, cutting electricity and blocking traffic for nearly two hours.
Sodus Fire was dispatched to 18 Danford Street at 11:24 a.m. after the fallen tree pulled wires loose from a transformer, according to officials. The resulting damage knocked out power in the surrounding area.
Fire crews shut down through traffic and worked to remove both the tree and broken power lines from the road.
