Two Liverpool High School students were arrested after an armed robbery involving firearms in the Town of Clay, according to police. Deputies say a 17-year-old arranged to buy a gun from a 16-year-old but instead pulled a weapon and stole two handguns before fleeing.
A search at the older teen’s Syracuse home uncovered a 9mm ghost gun and an HK-style .22 caliber handgun, both with extended magazines. Authorities charged both students with multiple weapon-related offenses, and they were remanded to Hillbrook Juvenile Detention Center.
The 17-year-old faces first-degree robbery among several charges, while the 16-year-old was charged with weapons possession and stolen property offenses.
