A Penn Yan man faces multiple charges after police say he was caught driving while intoxicated late Friday night.
Authorities reported that Brian K. Corcoran, 44, of East Elm Street, was arrested around 11:36 p.m. after being stopped on Wagener Street for failing to keep right.
According to the Penn Yan Police Department, Corcoran showed numerous signs of intoxication when officers made contact. He failed a series of standardized field sobriety tests and was taken to the Yates County Jail, where a chemical breath test revealed a blood alcohol content of .14%.
Corcoran was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving with a blood alcohol content of .08% or higher, and failure to keep right. He was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to answer the charges in Penn Yan Village Court.
