Walworth seeks public input on summer hours plan

  • / Updated:
  • Staff Report

The Town of Walworth is asking residents to weigh in on a proposal to adopt new summer hours for Town Hall offices starting Saturday, May 31.

Under the proposed schedule, Town Hall offices would extend their Monday through Thursday hours, opening from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. On Fridays, offices would close early, operating from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. These changes would apply only to the Upper Level Departments, including Assessment, Building & Code, and the Town Clerk’s office.

The proposed summer hours would not affect the Recreation Department, Parks Department, Town Court, or Library, which would continue following their regular schedules.

The plan would run from May 31 through Labor Day. Community members are encouraged to participate in an online poll to share their opinions. The poll will remain open until Friday, May 9.
