An Auburn man was arrested after allegedly pulling a knife on city garbage collectors, according to first responders. Police say Frederick W. Stormes Jr., 65, confronted the workers Friday over how they handled his garbage can.

After following them down the street and accusing them of disrespect, Stormes reportedly brandished a knife. The collectors fled and called police, who later charged him with felony weapon possession and two counts of menacing.

Stormes was taken into custody without incident and now faces both felony and misdemeanor charges in connection with the confrontation.
