A new Ocean State Job Lot store will soon open in Dansville, filling the vacant Big Lots space by the end of May, according to the Hornell Evening Tribune. The retailer, which sells discounted household goods, apparel, and food, plans to employ up to 70 full- and part-time workers, offering incentives like travel perks and strong benefits.
Ocean State Job Lot acquired 15 former Big Lots locations, including two in New York, after Big Lots’ bankruptcy. The Dansville store marks the brand’s first entry into the region, joining over 150 locations across the Northeast.
A formal ribbon-cutting ceremony is expected soon, as the company prepares to bring its popular “Crazy Deals” and closeout merchandise to the community.
