A traffic stop in Waterloo led to the arrest of a Marion man now facing multiple felony charges, according to the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Tim Thompson announced that Valerian Desiderio, 47, was arrested on April 26 after deputies observed a vehicle without functioning taillights. Following a traffic stop and investigation, deputies determined Desiderio was driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent.
Authorities also found that Desiderio was operating with a revoked driver’s license stemming from a 2017 DWI conviction. He was additionally charged with felony aggravated unlicensed operation, misdemeanor operating without a court-ordered interlock device, and several traffic violations.
Desiderio was processed and released on an appearance ticket. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Waterloo Court on May 7 at 5:00 p.m.
