The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra will perform an all-American program Friday at the Smith Opera House, presented by Geneva Concerts. The 7:30 p.m. season finale features music director Andreas Delfs and acclaimed violinist Tessa Lark.
The night opens with John Adams’ thrilling “Short Ride in a Fast Machine,” followed by Bernstein’s “Serenade” with Lark, who will also give a pre-concert talk at 6:30 p.m. After intermission, Copland’s “Appalachian Spring” and Gershwin’s “An American in Paris” will round out the performance.
Student tickets are free, with adult admission priced at $35 and college students paying $10 with ID.
