Auditions for the Phelps-Clifton Springs Community Theatre’s production of “The Sound of Music” kick off Friday at Midlakes High School, according to organizers. Adults and students in grades 11-12 can audition on Friday evening or Saturday morning, with callbacks Monday night.
Children’s auditions will be held May 10, requiring a parent for an initial meeting. Those trying out will read from the script, sing, and participate in movement auditions, with rehearsals scheduled for weeknights and some weekends.
The beloved musical will be performed July 24–27, directed by Keith Childs and music directed by Jennifer Cornwell, as part of a project funded by the Auburn Public Theatre Regrants program.
