All 11 Westhill High School lacrosse players accused of a staged kidnapping turned themselves in. The students complied within 24 hours after District Attorney Bill Fitzpatrick issued a 48-hour ultimatum.
Each student received a ticket for unlawful imprisonment, with most cases moving to confidential Family Court. The DA called the hazing “on steroids,” describing how a blindfolded teammate was abducted, bound, and threatened with a fake gun and knife during a staged team outing.
Four other students narrowly avoided becoming victims as the terrifying prank escalated. The DA emphasized the seriousness of the incident, saying it could leave lasting trauma on the primary victim.
