Campus Advantage returns to Ithaca with new strategy

  • / Updated:
  • Staff Report

A decade after a failed downtown development attempt, Campus Advantage has re-entered the Ithaca student housing market through a management partnership with local firm FLX Real Estate, according to both companies.

Rather than owning or developing property, the national firm will now oversee operations for nearly 2,000 student-focused bedrooms across Collegetown, including Collegetown Terrace and Catherine Commons. Local landlord Nick Robertson sought the collaboration to bring institutional support without losing local insight.

The move marks a quieter but more calculated entry for Campus Advantage, now focused on management—not development—after its earlier State Street Triangle plans fell apart.
