A Geneva woman was arrested after a traffic stop in the Town of Phelps revealed multiple offenses, including driving while intoxicated.
Deputies identified the suspect as 43-year-old Miosotis J. Rodriguez Martis, who was pulled over on State Route 96 on April 27 for an inoperable taillight.
During the stop, deputies determined that Rodriguez Martis was operating the vehicle while intoxicated and did not possess a valid driver’s license, using instead a Non-Driver New York State ID. She was issued citations for Driving While Intoxicated, Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle, and having an Inoperable Taillight.
The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reported that Rodriguez Martis obstructed the investigation multiple times, leading to an additional charge of Obstructing Governmental Administration in the 2nd Degree. She was transported to the Ontario County Jail, where she is being held pending arraignment.
