McDonald’s revives chicken strips after five years

McDonald’s will reintroduce chicken strips nationwide starting May 5. The new McCrispy Strips, made with all-white meat and paired with a Creamy Chili Dip sauce, mark the chain’s first chicken tender offering since 2020.

The company said strong fan demand inspired the product’s return, making McCrispy Strips the first permanent menu addition since the McCrispy sandwich in 2021. McDonald’s hinted that the new strips could also pave the way for the beloved Snack Wraps to make a comeback later this year.

Fans have long campaigned for the return of Snack Wraps, discontinued in 2016 due to operational challenges. McDonald’s confirmed they will return on an unspecified month’s 14th day in 2025.
