A Prattsburgh man was arrested Monday after an investigator from the Yates County Sheriff’s Office identified him as a suspect in a burglary and stolen vehicle case.
Charles H. Graner IV, 37, was taken into custody on April 21 at approximately 11:30 a.m. along State Route 54A, just outside the village limits of Penn Yan. Authorities say Graner matched the description of a man involved in a burglary and vehicle theft that occurred the night before in the Town of Jerusalem.
Following a brief interview at the scene, investigators confirmed Graner’s identity and placed him under arrest. He was transported to the Yates County Jail for arraignment.
Graner faces multiple charges, including burglary in the third degree, grand larceny in the third and fourth degrees, criminal mischief in the third degree—all felonies—and resisting arrest, a misdemeanor.
He remains in custody as the case proceeds through Yates County Court.
