A Newark man is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly breaking into a home armed with a machete during a domestic incident in Arcadia.
New York State Police arrested Jared C. Nesmith, 35, following a report that he unlawfully entered the victim’s residence on April 21 at around 2:00 a.m. Troopers say Nesmith threatened the victim during the confrontation.
Authorities located Nesmith at his residence and took him into custody without incident. He was processed at SP Lyons before being transported to Wayne County CAP court.
Nesmith is charged with burglary in the first degree, a class B felony; criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, a class D felony; and menacing in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor.
He was arraigned and remanded without bail due to prior felony convictions.
