Corrections Officer Phillip Juliano has retired after 25 years of service at the Wayne County Jail, closing out a long career marked by compassion, commitment, and leadership.
Juliano began working at the facility in 2000 as a part-time officer and soon transitioned to full-time status. Over the years, he built a reputation as someone “who truly cares for others,” according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office in Lyons, New York.
Throughout his tenure, Juliano took on responsibilities that extended beyond his daily duties. He served as a union steward, advocating for his fellow officers, and remained an active member of the Ginna Response Team. Known for his preference for the midnight shift, Juliano became one of those officers remembered for both their reliability and their dedication.
The sheriff’s office shared a public message of gratitude and best wishes: “We wish him many days filled with sunshine in his retirement! Thank you for your service CO Juliano!”
