Union Springs hiring seasonal laborer for village maintenance

The Village of Union Springs is accepting applications for a temporary seasonal laborer position to support its Department of Public Works with landscaping and maintenance tasks.

The part-time role pays $17 per hour and requires 10 to 30 hours of work per week, depending on weather and conditions. The job includes operating a weed trimmer on village property—such as Frontenac Park, the cemetery, and downtown areas—as well as emptying trash, maintaining flowerpots, and cleaning public restrooms.

Applicants must have experience in lawn maintenance or landscaping and be physically capable of lifting 50 pounds. Reliable work habits and mechanical skills are also preferred.

Work hours will vary between 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The job is seasonal and may end at any time.
