The Sennett Fire Department is firing up the grill for its Annual Mother’s Day Chicken BBQ, offering a drive-thru meal pickup at Station #1 in Auburn on May 11.
The event runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 3155 Turnpike Road. Dinners are priced at $15, with half chickens available for $10. Organizers are encouraging pre-orders through the department’s website, www.sennettfire.com.
This year’s event will remain drive-thru only, continuing a format that has proven popular in recent years. Hungry patrons can swing by, pick up a hot meal, and celebrate the holiday without leaving their cars.
The fundraiser is a long-standing tradition in the Sennett community, supporting local fire operations while offering residents a festive way to treat their families. The fire department’s promotional materials feature a cartoon chicken in a firefighter’s helmet cheerfully manning the grill—a playful touch that hints at the family-friendly spirit of the event.
