The Cayuga County Health Department is hiring a Public Health Educator to join its team and support the Healthy Neighborhoods Program, with a focus on community outreach, education, and public health initiatives.
Candidates must meet one of several qualification paths, including a bachelor’s degree in health education or public health, or a related field such as nursing, education, nutrition, or psychology, combined with relevant experience. Applicants with a master’s degree in public health or health education are also eligible.
The role offers a 35-hour work week, 14 paid holidays, vacation time upon hire, and access to a pension plan, tuition reimbursement, and public service loan forgiveness. The position includes responsibilities in program management, fieldwork, and collaborative community efforts.
