Man Charged With Burglary After Stealing From Seneca Falls Walmart

A Geneva man was arrested Saturday afternoon after allegedly stealing merchandise from the Walmart Super-Center in Seneca Falls.

Willie H. Spann, 58, was taken into custody by the Seneca Falls Police Department at 12:23 p.m. following an investigation into a reported theft. Officers say Spann concealed merchandise in his coat and exited the store without paying.

Authorities later confirmed that Spann had previously been banned from all Walmart properties in 2023. Due to this prior trespass order, police charged him with burglary in the third degree, a class D felony, in addition to petit larceny, a class A misdemeanor.

Spann was processed at the Seneca Falls Police Department and transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility to await arraignment. The New York State Police assisted in locating him.
