Prattsburgh Man Accused of Assault, Robbery, and Threats After Domestic Altercation

Deputies arrested a Prattsburgh man Thursday following a violent domestic incident that led to a series of felony and misdemeanor charges.

Charles H. Graner IV, 37, was taken into custody on April 17 after allegedly striking and pushing another person during a domestic altercation in Prattsburgh, causing physical injury. Authorities say Graner also stole the victim’s phone and damaged it while the person was attempting to call 911.

The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office reported that Graner resisted arrest and physically fought with deputies during the investigation. He is also accused of making terroristic threats and obstructing the investigation. The victim was treated at the scene by Steuben County EMS.

Graner was charged with Robbery in the Third Degree and Making a Terroristic Threat, both class D felonies. He also faces charges of Assault in the Third Degree, Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree, Resisting Arrest, and Obstructing Governmental Administration.

He was arraigned in Centralized Arraignment Court and released.
